Parish User Roles

There are three types of parish users in Catholic Social Media, each with different permissions within the parish subscription. Below is a full list of each type of user and the permissions that user has.

  • Parish Owner(s)
    • Full rights to create and distribute original posts from parish
    • Full rights to edit and publish posts from Catholic Social Media and/or sponsoring diocese
    • Full rights to create and distribute resources to other users in the account
    • Full rights to create, edit, delete users
      • For Standard User creation:
        • View / No View of social media
        • Post / No Post of social media
        • View and Download / No View and Download of resources
        • Add / No Add of own resources sections, subsections, and content
    • Full rights to add, edit, or delete social media account connections
    • Full rights to add, edit, or delete parish personalization options
    • Full rights to parish analytics pages
    • Full rights update, downgrade, add, or delete parish subscription
    • Access to Catholic Social Media's customer success team
  • Parish Admin(s)
    • Full rights to create and distribute original posts from parish
    • Full rights to edit and publish posts from Catholic Social Media and/or sponsoring diocese
    • Full rights to create and distribute resources to other users in the account
    • Partial rights to create, edit, delete users: Admins and Standard Users ONLY:
      • For Standard User creation:
        • View / No View of social media
        • Post / No Post of social media
        • View and Download / No View and Download of resources
        • Add / No Add of own resources sections, subsections, and content
    • Full rights to add, edit, or delete social media account connections
    • Full rights to add, edit, or delete parish personalization options
    • Full rights to parish analytics pages
    • Access to Catholic Social Media's customer success team
  • Parish Standard User(s)
    • Full rights to parish analytics pages
    • Access to Catholic Social Media's customer success team
    • Based on how Parish Owner or Parish Admin set up permissions:
      • View / No View of social media
      • Post / No Post of social media
      • View and Download / No View and Download of resources
      • Add / No Add of own resources sections, subsections, and content
